I can't say I've read any blogs like that but have seen messages on Facebook that have concerned me. Fortunately I've known who to contact in those people's lives because they were people I had some personal knowledge of. In this case it was personal harm issue - not hazards to other people.

It is just a shame we didn't see those same signs for our own daughter...

To say that first impressions are important is an understatement in this case. Should we take this person seriously?

The multitude of blogs really separates "the men from the boys"... to quote what is definitely a Baby Boomerism. The pros have it down, due primarily to excellent writing skills. They get the point across in what takes the reader about 3-5 minutes, max.

Those who are off topic and ramble on and on...well, that's a different matter. Blogs are usually not entirely fact-based information, and the amatuer writer is exposed immediately by laborious exercises in connecting with the reader. I usually decide within the first paragraph if it is worth the time to continue.

In this YouTube post, the photo is enough to turn me away completely.
